I decided to write this because I was finding that I was increasingly getting into difficult, and ultimately frustrating, conversations or email exchanges with friends about my sceptical views about man made climate changes and the catastrophes that it will supposedly unleash. Disagreeing with friends is never pleasant and I found myself reviewing why it was that I had come to feel sceptical about many of the claims made about global warming and as I did this I thought why not share the stuff that had pushed me towards scepticism so my friends could make their own minds up based on the same info I had.

If I explained what evidence had made me hold the views I do I might not change anyone’s mind, thats not really the point of this exercise, but it might convince some people that my sceptical views were at least rational even if not correct. So I am not trying to get anyone reading this to change their minds, rather I just want to take you on the same journey I undertook when I set out to find out more about what is seemingly the hottest issue around. Then you can make up your own mind.
